About Lee
Lee Schnellback was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, and began his career as a graphic artist before expanding into virtually every facet of media production, including creative and technical writing, copywriting, photography, web and print design, marketing, corporate communications, and video production. He has worked in the video industry for more than 20 years, writing, directing, editing, and producing short films, commercials, music videos, corporate communications, and training videos.
From concept to completion, Lee's expertise spans every stage of the production process, from developing ideas and writing scripts to filming, editing, and delivering the final product. "No idea is ever too big and nothing is unattainable," he says. "Filmmaking is my passion, and anything is possible as long as you have the passion."
In 2013, Lee created SchneL's Game, an annual invite-only challenge event inspired by game shows and reality competition series such as Fear Factor, Survivor, Beat the Clock, Silent Library, and Japanese game shows, while also drawing influence from modern YouTube and TikTok challenge culture. Combining endurance competitions, food challenges, live entertainment, pop culture, and original game mechanics, what began as a bachelor party experiment has evolved into a legendary underground tradition with a devoted following, entertaining hundreds of participants and guests over more than a decade. Lee serves as creator, producer, host, writer, and director of the event, overseeing every aspect of its development and production. SchneL's Game has become one of his most ambitious and recognizable creative projects.
